Traffic Sources for Affiliate Marketers

If you are an affiliate marketer then probably one of the most important things you need to do is drive traffic to your website or your affiliate site. I have learned a lot over the years about getting traffic and I would like to share with you some of the methods that I have used to drive traffic to my websites. Some methods are free and others have a nominal fee. I have learned that you do not need to spend very much at all to get started.

Sign up for all of the tested affiliate programs here, I have only listed the most profitable programs so you don’t have to go searching all over the net and wonder which programs are profitable.

Search Engine & Directory Submission

Here is a list of search engines and directories that I have compiled that allow you to submit your websites. This is one of the most important things that you should start with. Your site needs to be listed before it can be found.

Forum Traffic

Another good way to get traffic is to join forums and try to post your link within conversations and in your signature. It is very important however that you DO NOT join the forums just to post your affiliate links. Most of the forums out there will ban you if your first post contains links in it, some forums don’t allow you to post links until you have posted a certain number of times. As a general rule you should make at least 10 posts on the forum, join some conversations, add something useful to the community before you try to post your links. Make sure you READ THE FORUM RULES before you start posting. All of the forums have some rules and many of them are different. If you don’t abide by the rules you risk getting banned and/or having your account deleted. Here are some Electric Cigarette Forums That may or may not let you post links. Advertising

There are thousands of ways to advertise your website. Some free, some have a nominal fee and others are downright expensive. I will try to list a few good advertising resources that can bring in thousands of real targeted visitors to your website every day.
